Legal conditions

Applies from 1st January 2020

 

  • The player can sign up / register for the tournament by sending a request to info@ttstar.cz
  • The player is obliged to participate in the tournament after mutual confirmation from TTSTAR SERIES and also from the player side
  • Every player is obliged to sign a professional contract with TTSTAR SERIES. The contract is valid for 1 calendar year
  • Each player of the tournament is rewarded according to the key in the "Prize money" section
  • Prize money is paid in cash after the end of the tournament
  • The player has right to cancel his participation only in the case of serious injury or illness with the medical certificate confirming the injury or illness, which he shall send without undue delay to the E-Mail address info@ttstar.cz or by Post to Table Tennis Club Prague 2018, z.s., Husova 1064, Chodov, 357 35
  • The Player undertakes not to participate in any type of betting (not just online) on the results (balls, sets, matches, and any other situation) of any tournament within the TTSTAR SERIES. Furthermore, he undertakes to ensure that any relatives or close friends of the Player shall not take part in online betting on the results of any TTSTAR SERIES tournament. In case of breaching this rule, there will be a contractual fine of CZK 1,000,000 (in words: one million Czech crowns) applied.
  • Each tournament is two days long. The matches follow each other, thus the timetable is only for informational purposes, but the first match always starts at 8:00
  • Eight professional players start in each tournament
  • In each tournament, players earn points to the ranking. 1st place = 8 points, 2nd place = 7 points, etc. The best 8 players of the year will have a chance to compete in the final tournament called GRAND FINAL with 50% more prize money + material prizes. The ranking for nomination to the GRAND FINAL tournament is calculated on the basis of the average of the player's best x results per year.
  • A player must play at least 8 tournaments per year to qualify for the GRAND FINAL tournament
  • One player can play a maximum of 50% of tournaments per year, with the exception of nationwide emergencies, closing borders for foreign players, etc.
  • The promoter has the final word to make the Grand Final nomination

Prize money - reward system:


 

The total prize money in each tournament is up to CZK 87,000 (CZK 82,000 + CZK 5,000 bonus for winning the tournament without defeat). If the player wins all matches in the tournament, the win is CZK 28,000

  • Each player will receive CZK 3 000 for participating in the tournament
  • For each victory in the group, the player will receive CZK 1 000
  • The player will receive CZK 3 500 for advancing to the semifinals
  • The player will receive CZK 4 500 for winning the semifinals
  • The player will receive CZK 2 000 for winning the match for 3rd place
  • The player will receive CZK 5 000 for winning the final
  • The player who wins the tournament without defeat will receive a bonus of CZK 5 000

Tournament system:


  • There are 8 players in the group, the system one on one. The top four players advance to the semifinals. After the semi-final matches, the match for the third place is played and then the final match of the tournament. A total of 32 matches will take place in the tournament. Each player will play a minimum of 7 matches (unless there are injuries, disqualifications, etc.) and a maximum of 9 matches
  • Group position is calculated on the results of group matches. The scores of matches, sets and then, if necessary, mutual matches are calculated. This means that in case of the same score of matches and sets of two players, the winner of the mutual match between these two players proceeds to the semi-finals. In the case of more complicated situations, where more than two players have identical scores, the organizer reserves the right to make the final decision

Fines and sanctions:


 

  • The use of mobile phones, tablets and computers in the lobby is strictly prohibited. For each violation of this prohibition, the player will be fined CZK 2 000
  • The player is obliged to maintain order in the hall, clean up food packaging, water bottles, etc. For a gross violation of this rule, the player is fined CZK 500
  • The tournaments introduce a system of yellow cards for unsportsmanlike conduct, vulgarism, etc. The system is as follows: The first yellow card penalty is CZK 500, the second yellow card CZK 1 000, the third yellow card CZK 3 000, the fourth yellow card CZK 5 000 and the fifth yellow card CZK 7 000 CZK. When five yellow cards are exceeded, the player is automatically eliminated from the series

Penalties and fines will be deducted from the prize money after the end of the tournament


Each player participating in the TTSTAR series agrees to these terms
